Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise is a popular American author, performer and actress who is well-known for her character Ginger Grant in the 1960s television show Gilligan's Island. The actress began her career in stage shows during the 1950s starting with Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. Then she appeared in a number of Broadway shows before becoming a star on national stage with Li'l Abner in 1957. That same year, she recorded her first album of songs, called It's Time to Tina. Louise began with her Hollywood career in 1958, in which she portrayed Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre, a drama film. The film was a massive success, and Louise received the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. At the time, she enrolled into Actors Studio in New York and developed her association to Lee Strasberg as his student. The next memorable role she played was in 1964. The actress signed with CBS for the role of Ginger Grant. Louise continued to juggle her work effectively with a variety of roles between Broadway television and Hollywood portraying somber characters as against her perceived image of a glamour doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and Helen Magnus, but in recent years, she has gained recognition as a director on several popular TV shows like Supernatural. Her family moved from Essex to Toronto, where she spent her childhood and teenage years. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 to play the role and has remained there ever since.
