Ina Garten is an acclaimed American cook book writer and Emmy award-winning host of Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa that debuted in 2002 and aired 27 seasons till 2020. Ina Garten started her career as a journalist at the White House where she wrote nuclear energy policies and budget documents. Though she initially found it intellectually stimulating she eventually became bored. Then she bought an Barefoot Contessa a small speciality food store. She spent eighteen years making the business extremely profitable before letting it go and grabbing a pen to begin writing her first cookbook. A number of other books and magazine articles followed. She also appeared on the Food Network TV show also debuted, and was a huge hit. In addition, she sells a variety of product from cooking ingredients as well as storage containers and equipment. Ina is not a student at any cookery school or employed in a restaurant, and she is completely self-taught. Ina is known for her relaxed approach to creating and entertaining.
